Course Description: This one-hour class was prepared with OSHA guidelines in mind. It consists of two short modules, Fire Safety and Fire Watch, and an interactive game. There is a three-question quiz at the end of each module, and a ten-question "final exam" after the game to see how well you have understood the material presented here. In the first module, Fire Safety, we discuss the basic elements of fire safety and how you can aid emergency responders in fire-related emergencies. The second module, Fire Watch, discusses WHAT a fire watch is, WHY and WHEN one is needed, and WHEN and HOW a fire watch should be terminated. We also discuss the responsibilities of the fire watchers involved – before, during, and after a fire emergency.
