Human Response Training (HRT) is a 4-hour advanced training program designed for security professionals who are expected to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professional communication in complex human situations.

Formerly known as Crisis Intervention Training, HRT expands beyond traditional crisis response to address the full spectrum of emotionally charged encounters security professionals face in modern environments — including mental health distress, neurodivergence, language barriers, opioid emergencies, and heightened emotional conflict.

Delivered through eight focused microlearning modules, the course blends real-world scenarios with legal and ethical considerations to reinforce safe, effective, and professional responses under pressure.

Rather than prescribing rigid scripts, Human Response Training develops situational awareness, de-escalation judgment, and human-centered decision-making — helping professionals reduce risk, prevent escalation, and protect both people and organizations.
