Renewing Your Oklahoma Security License

Check your expiration date. Individual Oklahoma security licenses run 3 years. Find the date on your license and plan your training ahead of it.

Complete 8 hours of CLEET-approved CE. Security guards need 8 hours of continuing education per cycle (private investigators need 16). Our course covers report writing, crisis intervention, and dealing with difficult people.

Download your certificate. You get a certificate of completion as soon as you finish the course. Keep it with your renewal paperwork.

Submit your renewal to CLEET. File your renewal with CLEET before your license expires. A $25 late fee applies once it lapses, and a license expired more than 30 days can't be renewed.
