Continuing Ed: Officer Safety (4 Hours)

Course Description: Every private security officer will encounter challenges in the performance of their duties. Some challenges are more dangerous than others. Private security officers must practice safety awareness at all times in order to protect themselves, their clients' employees, and the general public while performing their assigned duties. It is also important that every private security officer follow proper protocols and procedures in order to maintain professionalism, safety (for all parties involved), and legal compliance.

This class is four hours in length, and consists of five modules:

• Safety Awareness,
• Threat Assessment
• Subject Contact,
• Bloodborne Pathogens,
• Environmental Hazards and Hazardous Materials.

There is a ten-question final exam referencing all five subjects.
