The training you need for a Texas Level II Non-Commissioned guard license. The Texas Dept. of Public Safety must conduct a fingerprint-based FBI Criminal History background check for new and renewal Private Security Registration applications prior to issuing a license. Licenses are valid for 2 years. Applicants do NOT need to be a Texas resident.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Texas-approved certificate of completion to be used as proof of education when applying for a Texas guard license.

This four-hour class covers the basics of becoming a Non-Commissioned, or Unarmed, Security Guard in Texas, and provides the Level Two Training as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Private Security Bureau (PSB). The class is broken into six "modules," and each module has a five-question quiz at the end of the module to see if you have understood the concepts presented. There is a fifty-question final exam after you have completed the final module. The six modules are: History, Statutes and Definitions; The Role of Private Security in Today's Society; Documentation and Report Writing; The Proper Use of Force in Conflict Resolution; The Power to Arrest and Detain; Crisis Intervention and Emergency Response.
