Defencify Launches Remote Georgia Unarmed Security Guard Training
Defencify is pleased to announce the state of Georgia has approved its online security officer training platform for the certification of unarmed private security guards. Now, rather than attending in-person classes, candidates have the opportunity to start a new career by completing the state-approved training remotely at the time, pace, place, and on the device of their choosing.
The state-approved Georgia Unarmed Guard Card Course provides all the initial training necessary to become a licensed unarmed security guard in the state of Georgia. Using modern eLearning principles, Defencify curriculum developers in partnership with the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies (BPDSA) worked to ensure all state minimum requirements were built into the course for officer certification.
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Georgia BPDSA-approved certificate of completion to be used as proof of education when applying for their Georgia unarmed security guard license.
The course contains a total of 24 hours of remote instruction divided into eleven modules. Mini-knowledge checks after each module plus a final exam are built into the courseware, as are interactive exercises, games, and content to drive home learning points in short, easy-to-understand lessons. Students can replay the modules as many times as necessary to absorb the information.
The Defencify Georgia Unarmed Guard Card Training Course modules are:
- The Nature and Role of Private Security
- Legal Responsibilities of Private Security
- Use of Force
- Documentation and Report Writing
- Patrol Techniques
- Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction
- Communication and its Importance
- Public Relations - Community and Client
- Situational Response - Part I
- Situational Response - Part II
- Security Ethics
The course is available to individuals seeking their Georgia Guard Card for just $99. Students do not need to be a current resident of Georgia to take the course. That means people planning to relocate to Georgia can arrive with license in hand, pre-approved to work in the state.
For private contract security guard firms hiring new employees in Georgia, this is the course to use to expand your hiring pool without incurring the time and expense of repeatedly conducting instructor-led training classes.
If your firm needs help keeping the pipeline full of qualified, properly trained security guards ready to get to work, talk to us about integrating the Defencify platform as a branded component of your online Learning Management System and realize even lower costs through volume seat licensing discounts.
