**IMPORTANT: The California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) requires all individuals seeking a guard card to complete 8 hours of training: Power to Arrest (3 hours) and Appropriate Use of Force (5 hours). Defencify's Power to Arrest (3-Hours) online self-paced course fulfills the 3-hour requirement and can be completed entirely online. The 5-hour Appropriate Use of Force training must be done live, in-classroom, which Defencify does not offer.

4. Create a BreEZe Account: Register on the BreEZe system.
5. Submit BSIS Application: Fill out and submit your BSIS guard card application online, and pay the application fee (not included; additional $55 fee paid directly to BSIS).
