Defencify Launches Texas Level II Non-Commissioned Training Course

Defencify is pleased to announce the addition of the new Texas Level II Non-Commissioned License Training Course to its expanding catalog of online security officer training classes.

Developed in concert with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), this state-approved course provides all the training necessary to become a licensed Level II non-commissioned (unarmed) security guard in the state of Texas. Upon completion, students will be issued a certificate as proof of education to be submitted to the Texas DPS for a Guard Card.

Students do not need to be a current Texas resident to take the course. That means people planning to relocate to Texas can arrive with license in hand, pre-approved to work in the state.

This four-hour class is broken into six modules. A five-question knowledge check at the end of each module confirms students understand the concepts presented. At the conclusion of the course students must pass a 50-question final exam to earn their certificate of completion.

The Defencify Texas Level II Non-Commissioned Training Course modules are:

  1. History, Statutes and Definitions
  2. The Role of Private Security in Today's Society
  3. Documentation and Report Writing
  4. The Proper Use of Force in Conflict Resolution
  5. The Power to Arrest and Detain
  6. Crisis Intervention and Emergency Response

As with all Defencify online training courses, the class is self-paced. That means students can proceed through the modules at their convenience, at the time, place, and on the device of their choosing.

Start, pause, and restart as necessary; there’s no requirement to complete the class in one session. Replay modules at will to reinforce concepts.

Built on modern eLearning principles and designed by Defencify’s experienced curriculum development team, students absorb the necessary information through interactive exercises, games, and quizzes presented in easy-to-grasp concepts. Gone are stale PowerPoints, outdated videos, and longwinded instructors.

If you are seeking to become a licensed Texas Level II non-commissioned security guard, this is the only course you need. If you are a security guard HR manager hiring new officers in Texas, this is the course to point candidates towards to expand your hiring pool without the time and expense of conducting live training. Hire today, train today, get started tomorrow.
