Course Details

The training you need for a Texas Level II Non-Commissioned guard license. The Texas Dept. of Public Safety must conduct a fingerprint-based FBI Criminal History background check for new and renewal Private Security Registration applications prior to issuing a license. Licenses are valid for 2 years. Applicants do NOT need to be a Texas resident.

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Texas-approved certificate of completion to be used as proof of education when applying for a Texas guard license.

This four-hour class covers the basics of becoming a Non-Commissioned, or Unarmed, Security Guard in Texas, and provides the Level Two Training as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Private Security Bureau (PSB). The class is broken into six "modules," and each module has a five-question quiz at the end of the module to see if you have understood the concepts presented. There is a fifty-question final exam after you have completed the final module. The six modules are: History, Statutes and Definitions; The Role of Private Security in Today's Society; Documentation and Report Writing; The Proper Use of Force in Conflict Resolution; The Power to Arrest and Detain; Crisis Intervention and Emergency Response.

Arizona DPS NEW Unarmed Guard Card Course - 8 Hours

The training you need to get the Arizona DPS unarmed guard card.

How it works:

Complete the online training at your own pace.
Within 24 business hours after completing the course, your instructor will email the Guard Card Application with the instructor section filled out. No training certificate is issued with this course.

The AZ Department of Public Safety requires all Security Guards be licensed in the State of Arizona and complete 8 hours training. If you're under 18 years of age.
If you are not a citizen or legal resident who is authorized to seek employment in the United States.
If you have ever been convicted of a felony, whether or not your conviction was set aside and your Civil Rights were restored.
If you are currently under indictment for a felony.

- Arson

- Domestic Violence
- Narcotics
- Sexual Misconduct
If you are on parole, community supervision, work furlough, on home arrest, or on release on any other basis.
If you are named in an outstanding arrest warrant.
If you have been adjudicated mentally incompetent or found to constitute a danger to self or others.
If you have a disability, which renders you incapable of performing essential functions of the job.
If you have been convicted of acting or attempting to act as a security guard or private investigator without a license if a license is required.
If you were discharged from the armed services of the U.S. under other than honorable conditions.

Minnesota New Security Guard Training Course - 12 Hours

Illinois PERC: The 20-Hour Basic Security Officer Training Program

The Training you need to work as a licensed security officer in the state of Illinois.

The Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation requires all Security Guards to be licensed in the State of Illinois and complete 20 hours of training. This online course is offered in partnership with P4 Academy who is licensed under the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (license #102.000245).

To become a security officer in Illinois requires two things, you must obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) and complete security officer training.

How it works:
1. Visit https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/Default.aspx to submit your PERC application online. As an alternative, you can download a paper application by clicking: https://www.idfpr.com/renewals/apply/forms/perc.pdf.
2.    Complete the entire application,
3.    Obtain fingerprints from an approved vendor or in the manner listed on the application.
4.    Submit completed application, fingerprints, and pay the non-refundable fee.
5.    Complete 20 hours of security officer training.
Do not delay applying for the PERC as you must have it in your possession before you can begin work.

The following are the minimum applicant requirements:·

· U.S. Citizenship or valid Green Card
·        Live Scan fingerprints
·        High school diploma or G.E.D.
·        Drug screening and background check
·        Strong communication skills; spoken and written English
·        Solid work record

Course Details:

Delaware Security License Training Course (10-Hrs)

This mandatory ten-hour class has been designed to provide the training required by the Delaware State Police Professional Licensing Section for initial licensing as an unarmed private security guard in Delaware. The class is broken into eight "modules," followed by an optional twenty-question practice exam to help prepare you for the sixty-question mandatory state security license Test/Exam after you have completed this training course. Tennessee Security License Training Course (4-Hrs)

This mandatory four-hour class has been designed to provide the training required by the Tennessee Private Protective Services Licensing and Regulatory Act for initial licensing as an unarmed private security guard in Tennessee. The class is broken into four "modules," each containing "sub-modules," for a total of nine subjects. Then, after you have completed this training course, there is a mandatory forty-question final exam. Georgia NEW Unarmed Guard Card Course - 24 Hours
